The Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to the Magic City! Also known as Miami, a city founded by women in 1896, and one of the most amazing places on Earth! Known now for its Latin culture, we will join Charles Kropke, CEO of Dragonfly Expeditions, as he leads us through Little Havana to meet and enjoy the Cubans who have brought their different cultures and now own their own businesses and live their lives in Miami – many generations ago! An award-winning tour, Charles and Dragonfly Expeditions will bring to life the success stories starting in 1960 to the present day!
It's Stone Crab season! Dinner on your own so take advantage of this delicacy while in South Florida!

Day 2
Bienvenido a Havana! After a short flight to Jose Marti International, we will be met by our private coach who will take us to the beautiful, newly constructed Tribe Caribe Boutique Hotel, which we will call home for the next 5 nights. Today starts our visit to Old Havana and many of the iconic buildings that share great architecture dating back to the 1500's. Christopher Columbus landed in Havana and fell in love with the country's beauty! The Havana Rum factory, Partagas Cigar Factory and many other interesting businesses that cater to the many tourists that visit Old Havana from all over the World will be on our agenda. Lunch at Chacon 162, owned by Jose Hector, who loves Americana items and has decorated his restaurant with a Harley Davidson over the bar! Here we will have a Cuban sandwich made by a Cuban in Cuba!! After lunch, we will visit our friend, Milton Bernal, the artist who has created the unique technique of painting with tobacco leaves, who will greet us at his galleria with cigars and Cuban espresso!
Tonight's first dinner will be enjoyed at Al Carbon, owned by Chefs Ivan & Justo, who have greeted many International leaders in their eclectically decorated restaurant. An amazing jazz band will entertain us on our first night!

Day 3
After our gourmet breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Federacion Culinaria de Cuba where we will participate in making Cuban style croquettas! Cuban coffee will get us ready to enjoy this very cultural day! Centerline Adventures has committed to helping the Habana Compas Group reach young children who are limited in social skills or are possibly autistic through Eduardo Cordova, Director and Developer of the percussion program. It's an amazing experience that we will actually participate in! Take home one of the percussion instruments that Eduardo designs and creates himself. Even Mick Jagger participated in this event when the Rolling Stones were in town in 2016! Lunch will be enjoyed at the new MUSA Restaurant before heading to Fusterlandia which was developed by artist Jose Fuster using mosiacs and tiles on everything you see at his museum. Back to the Tribe Caribe to rest up for our private party at the only wine bar in Havana, PlanH while being entertained by a local Cuban band....a walk around the Boulevard to see the lights on the Capital Building is a beautiful way to end the evening!

Day 4
Prepare for a great day at Finca Vista Hermosa..an organic farm where they grow their own vegetables and fruit, raise their own livestock and make their own cheese! Produce is hard to grow in the summer because of the heat but they have developed a technique that allows them to continue all year long. We will discover this today and learn from them as they will us! We will enjoy a great lunch using all of their products!  Once back at the hotel, you can sign up for a personal massage, take a yoga class on the rooftop or walk around Central Havana on your own. Cuba is one of the safest island countries in the Caribbean so feel free to go out and mingle with the people. Americans are loved and respected in this city.
One of our favorite people in Havana is Chef Alberto Gonzalez. Awarded a Michelin Star in 2005 in Paris, he is working towards his second star at his newly created upscale restaurant. Tonight Chef Alberto and our very own Chef Sam will collaborate on dinner for our guests at his restaurant. Chef Sam will be used to the size as there is a 20 people maximum so a very intimate ambiance is planned! We are hoping for a couple of very special friends to join us!

Day 5
After our breakfast at the hotel, we will be taking a road trip to Pinar del Rio where some of the best tobacco is grown in the world. Today we will visit with Hirocho Robaina who has taken the lead in his grandfather's, Alejandro Robaina, tobacco farm which was started in 1845 growing some of the finest grade tobacco and releasing their own brand in 1997. Hirocho will join us for lunch at his Finca!  On our way back to Havana, we will stop at Santo Tomas Caverns, the largest cave system in Cuba and the second largest in the Americas.
Once we return to Tribe Caribe Hotel, relax and prepare for a fun evening with our friends at CocoBlue y LaZorra Pelua. Owned by artist Jose Fuentes and his partner, Rita McNiff, everything in his restaurant was made from recycled materials...all sculptures, furniture, the kitchen area, and they have expanded to include a magnificent art gallery where locals are invited to showcase their works. There is a story that will be told tonight by Rita, a native New Yorker, about Jose (we call  him Jeff) that will really touch your hearts. Live music will entertain us and get you moving your feet to the Cuban beat!
Day 6
Christopher Columbus landed in Cuba on October 27, 1492 and said it was “the most beautiful land human eyes have ever seen”. Today we will see one of the beaches he made that statement about. Clear blue water of varying color and white powdery sand and no overcrowding! We will be hosted at the beach house owned by Andres' Levin who also owns Tribe Caribe! The house is extraordinary and recently renovated to include tennis courts, volleyball, private beach area, massages on the beach and lunch!!! Breathtakingly beautiful environment! Once back at the hotel, rest up and prepare for a gorgeous experience at BestView, a venue that overlooks Havana and the Malecon! Great Cuban music will entertain us as we wait for the traditional cannon fire at 9pm!

Day 7
If you remember the story our friend Rita at Cocoblue y LaZorra Pelua told us about Jeff, then today you will see the story in real life. His “family” will welcome us while guarding their herd in the Plaza! From there, we will visit ViHumos, a very unique cigar lounge owned by our dear friend, Vivian Melendez. She will share her creations with us that have a logo that matches her personality and we can smoke our final cigar in Havana with her. A catered lunch by locals will end our time in Havana among people that love us and look forward to our visits! Now let's head to Jose Marti International Airport as we say Adiós y que Dios te acompañe to our new found friends and experiences in this Country that holds mystique to so many of us Americans. We hope that you have seen the beauty amongst the ruins and pray for the sweet, humble people that call Cuba home.
