Centerline Adventures and Chef Sam Diminich loved our first culinary experience in Havana so much we are going back in January! But it will be bigger and better than the first one, which is not an easy task to recreate greatness, but we are up for it! After the FIRST EVER colloboration dinner with Chef Alberto in Havana, Sam has decided he wants to prepare meals 3 times at 3 different venues, so we will add a beautiful home built in 1916 and being renovated by our friend, Nerea Vera, the Rooftop Restaurant at Tribe Caribe Boutique Hotel and dinner at the exclusive private beach house in Tarara! We are working with Chef Sam, owner of Restaurant Constance in Charlotte, NC, to develop a strong culinary experience that other Chefs will want to participate in and share their knowledge of the food world as well as learn from the super Chefs of Cuba! Along with this aspect of the adventure, we will venture throughout the city to experience more of their very lucious culture including art while visiting Milton Bernal, who has developed a technique using tobacco leaves as his canvas. Cigars are now #3 in the importance of culture for Cuba but worth our visit to one of the oldest tobacco farms in Pinar del Rio, tobacco capital of Cuba! And then there's the music! We will be blown away with this never ending talent of young and old artists who will entertain us with their particular genre of music and we will go away with the sounds, sights and tastes of this beautiful country that will live in our hearts for a very long time!

The Itinerary
Day 1
We are leaving the Queen City to head to Havana this morning! With a short layover in Miami, we will arrive right after lunch, check into the beautiful Tribe Caribe, enjoy a cocktail on the rooftop, meet the owners and then prepare for a fun evening at a cool restaurant called Toto y Peppino! After dinner, we can take a stroll down the Malecon and listen to the waves break against the seawall and hang out with the locals!

Day 2
After a gourmet breakfast at the hotel, we will venture out to Old Havana, who will take us into Old Havana where we will explore the famous quarters where you will find some shopping opportunities before heading to lunch at Chacon 162 where our friend and owner, Jose Hector, will instruct his gracious staff to make our special Cuban Sandwich by Cuban Chefs in Cuba!! Pair your lunch with mojitos or Cuban beer for an authentic welcome to Havana! We will have our first visit to Milton Bernal's art gallery where he will share his unique and one of a kind artwork while we enjoy his hospitality of cigars and espresso. Now let's go check into our beautiful home away from home at Tribe Caribe Boutique Hotel owned by business partners, Andres Levin, Grammy Award winning musician, composor and producer, and Chris Cornell, Entrepreneur Extraordinaire, of Montreal. We have the entire hotel for our guests so explore and see why this is the most extraordinary boutique hotel in Havana!
Tonight's dinner will be enjoyed at Al Carbon, owned by Chefs Ivan & Justo, who have greeted many International leaders in their eclectically decorated restaurant. An amazing band will entertain us on our first night!

Day 3
Centerline Adventures has committed to helping the Habana Compas Group reach young children who are limited in social skills or are possibly autistic through Eduardo Cordova, Director and Developer of the percussion program. It's an amazing experience that we will actually participate in! Take home one of the percussion instruments that Eduardo designs and creates himself. Even Mick Jagger participated in this event when the Rolling Stones were in town in 2016! "You got me ticking, now don't blow my top" will take on a new meaning! A leisurely lunch at Restaurante Salty Pescador before heading back to Tribe Caribe to rest up for our private party at the only wine bar in Havana, PlanH, while being entertained by a local Cuban band....a walk around the Paseo del Prada Boulevard to see the lights on the Capital Building is a beautiful way to end the evening!

Day 4
Prepare for a great day at Finca Marta..an organic farm where they grow their own vegetables and fruit, raise their own livestock and make their own cheese! Produce is hard to grow in the summer because of the heat but they have developed a technique that allows them to continue all year long. We will discover this today and learn from them as they will us! We will enjoy a great lunch using all of their products! Once back at the hotel, you can sign up for a personal massage, take a yoga class on the rooftop or walk around Centro Havana on your own. Cuba is one of the safest island countries in the Caribbean so feel free to go out and mingle with the people. Americans are loved and respected in this city.
Tonight, Chef Sam will prepare a decadent meal for us at Social 1916, owned by our friend, Nerea Vera. This house is being totally renovated so the ambiance will come from the contrast of old and new and we will celebrate with a Gatsby Party. Dress Accordingly!! Nerea is an artist so expect a beautiful experience! Once again, we are making history by enjoying dinner prepared in Cuba by a visiting American Chef! To end this evening, we will visit the very famous Art Factory which has been rated in the top 100 cultural attractions in the World! Music, Art, People! Perfect ending to a perfect day!
Tonight, Chef Sam will prepare a decadent meal for us at Social 1916, owned by our friend, Nerea Vera. This house is being totally renovated so the ambiance will come from the contrast of old and new and we will celebrate with a Gatsby Party. Dress Accordingly!! Day 5
After our breakfast at the hotel, we will be taking a road trip to Pinar del Rio where some of the best tobacco is grown in the world. Today we will visit with Hirochi Robaina who has taken the lead in his grandfather's, Alejandro Robaina, tobacco farm which was started in 1845 growing some of the finest grade tobacco and releasing their own brand in 1997. Hirochi will join us for a authentic Cuban Pig Roast at his Finca! The information you receive from Hirochi's manager, Ivan, is very helpful when you shop for cigars! Once back at our hotel, take the time to relax and prepare for dinner on the Rooftop of Tribe Caribe! The scenery around the city of Havana will leave you breathless! Tonight Chef Sam will create a fun menu that we will share with some invited local! Great Cuban music played by some amazing Jazz musicians will have us dancing until well into the night!

Day 6
Christopher Columbus landed in Cuba on October 27, 1492 and said it was “the most beautiful land human eyes have ever seen”. Today we will see one of the beaches he made that statement about. Clear blue water of varying color and white powdery sand and no overcrowding! We will be hosted at the beach house owned by Andres' Levin and Chris Cornell who also own Tribe Caribe Boutique Hotel! The Courtyard is where you will find Chef Sam leading the orchestration of dinner to complete the Trifecta of our culinary experience! Might even include freshly caught fish and lobster! Breathtakingly beautiful environment! Once back at the hotel and rested, we will be treated to a tour of Havana in our own Classic Cars and dropped off at Espacios to dance and listen to the only band in Havana that plays American Classic Music! It is a very satisfying scenario to listen to Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and The Beatles played by Cuban musicians! Big Bros, with lead singer Eddie Escobar, has become great friends and adds a fun finale to our adventure in Cuba!

Day 7
Our last stop will be to visit our BFF, Vivian Melendez, who is highly regarded around the world for her knowledge of cigars. She will show us how to choose, cut, light, and smoke a cigar while paired with Cuban coffee or rum. She also has beautiful items you may want to take back to the US for friends and family! She has a great logo that you will appreciate once you see her!! While there we will play a vigorous game of Dominos with Vivian who has yet to be beaten! Live music will entertain us and send us on our way to the States! As we say adios to Havana and Bienvenidos to Charlotte, we greatly appreciate you joining us on our adventure to one of our favorite places - Cuba! We hope you’ll feel “Havana in My Heart” for years to come!
