Day 1
Welcome to the Magic City! Also known as Miami, a city founded by women in 1896, and one of the most amazing places on Earth! Known now for its Latin culture, we will join Charles Kropke, CEO of Dragonfly Expeditions, as he leads us through Little Havana to meet and enjoy the Cubans who have brought their different cultures and now own their own businesses and live their lives in Miami – many generations ago! It's Stone Crab season! Dinner on your own so take advantage of this delicacy while in South Florida!

Day 2
Bienvenido a Habana! After a short flight to Jose Marti International, we will be met by our private coach who will take us to the beautiful, newly re-constructed Tribe Caribe Boutique Hotel, which we will call home for the next 5 nights. Today starts our visit to Old Havana and many of the iconic buildings that share great architecture dating back to the 1500's. Christopher Columbus landed in Havana and fell in love with the country's beauty!

Walking through the Four Squares of La Habana Vieja which include Plaza Vieja, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral, and Plaza de San Francisco  de Asis, you will see various forms of architecture including the Cathedral that was built in the 1500's. Some of these walks will include shops that have sprung up for items of interest...want dominos? This is the place to get them! Magnets...yep. ...Authentic Cuban hat? ....you betcha!  But also great artwork lives amongst these souvenirs.

We will enjoy lunch at Chacon 162, owned by Jose Hector, who loves Americana items and has decorated his restaurant with a Harley Davidson over the bar! Here we will have a Cuban sandwich made by a Cuban in Cuba!!

Tonight's first dinner will be enjoyed at Al Carbon, owned by Chefs Ivan & Justo, who have greeted many International leaders in their eclectically decorated restaurant. An amazing band will entertain us on our first night!

Day 3
Hemingway loved Cuba so he made his home there from 1939 to 1960 at Finca Vigia! This amazing home sits on a hill overlooking Havana and is where he wrote For Whom The Bell Tolls and Old Man and The Sea. His beloved boat, Pilar, lives forever in this museum for us to see. From here, we will venture back to Old Havana to enjoy the beautiful Belle Arts Museum. The contrast of artwork here based on the Cuban timeline will amaze you and our tour guide will explain the reasons for the transitions you view.

Lunch at Vitrola and then we'll head to Fusterlandia to see this amazing neighborhood that has been transformed by Jose Fuster, an artist that has used his entire house as his canvas with mosiacs and tiles before heading back to our hotel for a rest before our evening event. Tonight we will have a wine and tapas party at the only wine bar in Havana, PlanH! A fun Cuban band will entertain us this evening!

Day 4
This day is going to be great fun! We will visit the studio of Eduardo Cordova, an amazing percussionist who has developed a program to help children lacking in social skills or needing some extra attention because of a challenge in their own lives such as Autism.

Centerline Adventures donates a portion of their proceeds to help Eduardo with his program. Some of these children might be there today to participate in the Percussion Show they will share with us. I guarantee that you will get up and move around!!

Not too far from here is the Necrópolis Cristóbal Colón, a National monument for Cuba, renowned for it's striking religious iconography and elaborate marble statues and mausoleums. Lunch will be served at Marea on the water near the Hemingway Marina. The winds blow through there and create a beautiful environment!

We have discovered a fabulous new restaurant called MUSA that provides a beautiful environment for dinner that will make you think you are in South Beach!

Day 5
Growing produce organically is a true art form in the farmlands surrounding Havana. With supplies limited, people have found great ways to help the people of Cuba who don't always have an opportunity to eat healthy beyond their rice and beans! Today we will visit the Finca Vista Hermosa (Farm with a Beautiful View) to hear from the 4th generation of this family owned farm how they achieve these goals. Growing their own produce, making their own cheese, and raising their own livestock, they will share a lunch rich with all the elements you will find on their farm.

This afternoon when we return, you will have some free time to explore on your own the areas of interest. We will be glad to share ideas and offer our services to hire taxis for your ride!

Once back at the hotel, we will prepare for a great evening at Bestview Rooftop with dinner and a live band! After dinner we will be picked up by our classic cars, tour Havana at night before heading back to our hotel!

Day 6
BEACH DAY! Christopher Columbus landed in Cuba on October 27, 1492 and said it was “the most beautiful land human eyes have ever seen”. Today we will see one of the beaches he made that statement about. Clear blue water of varying color and white powdery sand and no overcrowding!

We will be hosted at the beach house owned by Andres' Levin who also owns Tribe Caribe Boutique Hotel! The house is extraordinary and recently renovated and will be ours for the afternoon to enjoy with private staff and a full lunch! Breathtakingly beautiful environment!

Once back at our hotel, take the time to relax and prepare for dinner at a restaurant named for a famous Argentinian race car driver, Juan Fangio. Fangio won the 1957 Cuban Grand Prix. The restaurant has many automobile artifacts and a beautiful rooftop for dinner!

Day 7
Seems like the week flew by as we prepare for our flight back to the States! But before we do, we will visit the largest "herd of elephants" you'll ever come close to! That story will be shared on our way!

Our last stop will be to visit our BFF, Vivian Melendez, who is highly regarded around the world for her knowledge of cigars. She opens her lounge called ViHumos and invites you to learn why tobacco is the most popular income producing crop for Cuba. Whether you smoke or not, the importance of this to the Cuban people is foremost in the culture of the country. Enjoy a Cuban coffee, Rum, or juice while playing Dominos with Vivian...but remember, the House always wins!!  Visit her extraordinary items for last minute souvenirs where some of them are adorned with her unique logo!

As we say adios to Havana and Bienvenidos to Miami, we greatly appreciate you joining us on our adventure to one of our favorite places -  Cuba! We hope you’ll feel “Havana in My Heart” for years to come!
