All Inclusive  6 nights/7 days in
Varadero &  Havana!

Centerline Adventures has partnered with Oregon West to bring an exciting experience in Havana, Cuba for their loyal members! We have been traveling to this island nation for 12 years bringing groups that marvel at the excitement and energy they participate in when landing at Jose Marti International Airport. Culture swirls through the streets and businesses of the Cuban people who have become quite resourceful in the face of their struggles...with the smiles on their faces and the warmness in which they treat travelers, you forget how hard life can be under their circumstances. Starting in Varadero, the resort capital of Cuba, we will find amazing waters to tempt all toes to dip into! Once we get to Havana, you will recognize many American classic cars used mainly for taxis and special events. The Cubans take great pride in trying to maintain these cars and it's a joy to see them all over town! Follow along with the itinerary to feel the excitement of the next 7 days in Havana! Don't forget to save room in your suitcases for sets of Dominos and Cuban espresso cups and art! You will love this unique and extraordinary experience in Cuba!   Havana, ooh na na!! Let's goooooo.....

Day 2
Today we will visit the Santa Catalina Caves. Tripadvisor had this to say about it…”Go to a cave, and you will see stalactites and stalagmites … but have you ever seen a "mushroom stalagmite? You cannot, unless you come here. This is the ONLY location in the world where they have been found. Due to inflows of salt and fresh water, over millennia these geologic formations have been created.” We are excited about this guided tour today!

Once back at the resort, you will have the day to rest, hang out at the pool bars, lay on the glorious beach and then prepare for dinner at Xanadu. Built for the Duponts in 1930, this is the official 90 mile marker to Key West. Situated on the point overlooking the waters that led many to the shores of the United States. A beautiful building on the Hicacos Peninsula of Cuba, it is now a hotel, a magnificent clubhouse for the Varadero Golf Course, and a fabulous restaurant with great views!

Tomorrow we leave for Havana!

Day 3
After breakfast at Sol Caribe Resort, our private bus will pick us up and take us to HAVANA! It's lunch time so let's go to Old Havana to one of our favorite spots called Chacon 162! We will have a Cuban Sandwich in Cuba prepared by a Cuban Chef, our friend, Jose Hector! With an antique Harley Davidson above the bar, you will see lots of road signs from America like Route 66! Check in at our B&B, Villa Vedado, once owned by a private family but now a beautifully appointed place to stay! Close to the Malecon, feel free to explore the area. Havana is a very safe area and Cuba is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean.

Tonight, we will be treated to a fabulous dinner at Al Carbon, owned by Chefs Ivan & Justo, where they welcome many Internationally known famous and infamous people! And the jazz band you’ll enjoy will keep your feet tapping all night long!

Day 4
After breakfast at our Villa, we will experience a HEMINGWAY DAY! We will visit his home from 1939 to 1960 at Finca Vigia. It’s a beautiful home overlooking the city of Havana from his own hilltop where he wrote two of his famous books – For Whom the Bell Tolls and Old Man and the Sea. His boat, the Pilar, is located at the “farm” and in great condition! From here we will go back to Old Havana and visit Hotel Ambos Mundos where he kept a room and continued his writing. Many of his artifacts are  secured in this "room museum". After lunch at La Vitrola in Old Havana, we will finish the "Hemingway Walk" with a Papa Daiquiri at one of his favorite spots, El Floridita!

Now let’s return to our Villa and relax before our fine Wine & Tapas event at the new PlanH - an eccentric new wine bar in the heart of Old Havana within walking distance of the Capital! We will enjoy the exclusivity of this woman-owned, beautiful new wine bar while listening to a local Cuban jazz band!

Day 5
We will start our day walking through one of the largest National Monuments in the Americas, Necropolis Cristobal Colon. A magnificient cemetary named for Christopher Columbus. From here, we will visit the studio of Eduardo Cordova, an amazing percussionist who has developed a program to help children lacking in social skills or needing some extra attention because of a challenge in their own lives such as Autism. Centerline Adventures donates a portion of their proceeds to help Eduardo with his program. Some of these children might be there today to participate in the Percussion Show they will share with us. I guarantee that you will get up and move around!!! After this great performance, we will venture towards the water for a great lunch at Restaurante Santy Pescador before going back to the Villa for some free time and prepare for dinner at a cool restaurant named for Juan Fangio, an Argentinian race car driver from the '50's who won the Cuban Grand Prix in 1957. Music on the rooftop will entertain us this evening!

Day 6
Prepare for a great day at Finca Vista Hermosa..an organic farm where they grow their own vegetables and fruit, raise their own livestock and make their own cheese! Produce is hard to grow in the summer because of the heat but they have developed a technique that allows them to continue all year long. We will discover this today and learn from them as they will us! We will enjoy a great lunch using all of their products! If you find yourself feeling adventurous, take a horseback ride through the farm before lunch! Before heading back to the Villa, we will stop by Social 1916, a beautiful home being restored by our friend, Nerea Vera, where we will enjoy a lovely Eminente Rum tasting with Raul Bravo with Moet Hennessy. Rest up when we get back to our Villa, for tonight we will experience dinner at Bestview from the 8th floor overlooking the Malecon to our left and the Capitol Building to our right, the beauty of Havana that most people don't get to see. A classic car ride will bring our last evening in Havana to a beautiful crescendo!

She has a great logo that you will appreciate once you see her!! While there we will play a vigorous game of Dominos with Vivian who has yet to be beaten! Live music will entertain us and send us on our way to the States!
