Harbour's Edge in Havana
April 9-14, 2024
All Inclusive from Miami including R/T Air
5nights/6 days in Havana!

Centerline Adventures has partnered with the Harbour's Edge community to bring an exciting experience in Havana, Cuba to their amazing neighbors! We have been traveling to this island nation for 12 years, bringing groups that marvel at the excitement and energy they participate in when landing at Jose Marti International Airport. Culture swirls through the streets and businesses of the Cuban people...with the smiles on their faces and the warmness in which they treat travelers, you immediately fall in love with their country. While driving from the airport to Old Havana you will recognize many American classic cars used mainly for taxis. The Cubans take great pride in trying to maintain these cars and it's a joy to see them all over town! Follow along with the itinerary to feel the excitement of the next 6 days in Havana! Don't forget to save room in your suitcases for sets of Dominos and Cuban espresso cups! Don't speak Spanish? No worries...Charles Kropke, CEO of Dragonfly Expeditions, will be with us and he loves to practice his Miami Spanish (he's actually quite good!!) Or we can google translate! Either way, there will be no problem communicating in Havana! Start practicing now.....
Havana, ooh na na!! Let's goooooo.....

Day 1
Beinvenido a Cuba! Arriving in Havana, we will be met by our personal transportation hosts who will take us to Chacon 162 where our friend, Jose Hector, will greet us with lunch! What could be better than a Cuban Sandwich made by a Cuban in Cuba? Maybe a Mojito to go along with this experience! After, we will meander through the streets of Old Havana to visit some of the iconic places known for its architectural greatness dating back to the 1500's. Lots of walking so bring comfy shoes!  Tonight, we will have a remarkable adventure at the world renowned Al Carbon for dinner and enjoy a great Cuban band!

Day 2
Hemingway loved Cuba so he made his home there from 1939 to 1960 at Finca Vigia! This amazing home sits on a hill overlooking Havana and is where he wrote For Whom The Bell Tolls and Old Man and The Sea. His beloved boat, Pilar, lives forever in this museum for us to see. From here, we will venture back to Old Havana to enjoy the beautiful Belle Arts Museum. The contrast of artwork here based on the Cuban timeline will amaze you and our tour guide will explain the reasons for the transitions you view. Lunch at Vitrola before heading back to our room at Hotel Aston for a rest, spa service or sit by the pool overlooking the Malecon! Tonight we will have a wine and tapas party at the only wine bar in Havana, PlanH! A fun Cuban band will entertain us this evening!

Day 3
This day is going to be great fun! We will visit the studio of Eduardo Cordova, an amazing percussionist who has developed a program to help children lacking in social skills or needing some extra attention because of a challenge in their own lives such as Autism. Centerline Adventures donates a portion of their proceeds to help Eduardo with his program. Some of these children might be there today to participate in the Percussion Show they will share with us. I guarantee that you will get up and move around!!! Not too far from here is the Necrópolis Cristóbal Colón, a National monument for Cuba, renowned for it's striking religious iconography and elaborate marble statues.Lunch will be served at Marea on the water near the Hemingway Marina. The winds blow through there and create a beautiful environment!  We have discovered a fabulous new restaurant called MUSA that provides a beautiful environment that will make you think you are in South Beach!

Day 4
BEACH DAY! And what a day it will be! LaPlaya is a beautifully renovated house on the beach where we will have exclusivity to lounge on the deck, sit under the trees, have our own "banos", and lay on the beautiful beach! We will also have a great lunch prepared for us! This will be an all day affair to enjoy the stunning blue colors of the sea. Christopher Columbus said it was the most beautiful place he had ever seen! Tonight, relax at the hotel, sit out by the pool or take a walk along the Malecon! I'm sure Charles will be there to share stories of Havana, Schooners and Pirates!

Day 5
Today you will meet some very special friends who have lived their lives in Cuba and mastered their talents in art. From making their home their canvas to restoring a hundred year old house, you will marvel at the talent that lives in this country! Lunch at Ley Seca in Old Havana and then before heading to the Hotel Aston, let's stop in at Hotel Nacional for a cigar and some rum on the Veranda! Tonight we will be picked up at the Hotel Aston in beautiful Classic Cars to take us to one of our favorite places,  Cocoblue y LaZorra Pelua, a lovely restaurant owned by our friends, Jose Fuentes and Rita McNiff. Jose is a sculpturer who has made his restaurant his canvas. Tonight, Rita will share the story of his life and why art is so important to him!
Day 6
Seems like the week flew by as we prepare for our flight back to the States! But before we do, remember the story Rita shared with us last night? This morning you will understand what she was telling us, and we think you will be greatly touched by this! Our last stop will be to visit our BFF, Vivian Melendez, who is highly regarded around the world for her knowledge of cigars. She will show us how to choose, cut, light, and smoke a cigar while paired with Cuban coffee or rum. She also has beautiful items you may want to take back to the US for friends and family! She has a great logo that you will appreciate once you experience her charming personality!! While there, we will enjoy some Cuban pastries made especially for us before heading to the airport!

As we say adios to Havana and Bienvenidos to Miami, we greatly appreciate you joining us on our adventure to one of our favorite places -  Cuba! We hope you’ll feel “Havana in My Heart” for years to come!
